Echo Hub
Amazon Alexa
Echo Hub is an easy-to-use Alexa-enabled control panel for your smart home devices. Just ask Alexa or tap the display to control lights, smart plugs, camera feeds, and more.
Designed for personalization
No two smart-homes are alike. With that in mind, the smart-home forward interface is designed for maximum customization.
Through User testing, we uncovered scenarios where customers needed to be able to access and interact with Smart-home and non-smart home components at the same time. For example, a user with Echo Hub in the kitchen would want to see the grocery list, on-going timers and at the same time be able to monitor baby cameras in the bedroom upstairs.
As the interaction designer on the project, I iterated through different system navigation patterns to address this need and also supported with early visual explorations as input to the visual design work.
While Echo hub is a touch-forward device, I explored some multi-modal concepts to ensure customers can still interact with the device via voice.
